AHUs come in standard and customized designs as per usage requirements. A Standard Air Handling Unit casing consists of double skin sandwiched insulated panels which are mounted on specially designed aluminium profile structures. This casing is then mounted on a base frame with the cooling / heating coils, fans, motors, etc. This low maintenance and highly reliable design results in fewer breakdowns of the unit.

Standard AHUs are of 2 types:

  • Horizontal AHUs:     
    • Single Decker: Compact and efficient for smaller or less complex applications.
    • Double Decker: For special applications like pharmaceutical, industrial, etc.
  • Vertical AHUs: Ideal for spaces with limited horizontal space. Vertical AHU can be coupled with VRV/VRF/Fixed speed compressor ODUs also resulting in higher efficiency than standard packaged units.
