The York CYK is a water-to-water compound centrifugal chiller/heat pump with two electric motor-driven centrifugal compressors in series, covering 300 to 2,500 tons per Johnson Controls India’s regional specifications. Unlike a standard chiller, the CYK delivers simultaneous chilled water at 42°F and hot water at up to 180°F from the same unit, making it a direct electric replacement for boiler-and-chiller combinations – cutting operating costs by up to 50% versus traditional fossil-fuel systems. Turndown to 25% of design capacity is possible through VSD and compressor VI control, and each compressor can be independently optimized for its operating conditions.
