The Honeywell (FEMA) VCM/VNM Negative Pressure Switches (Vacuum Switches) detect pressure difference relative to atmospheric pressure – the “zero” scale reference point corresponds to current atmospheric pressure, with vacuum readings as a negative differential. Calibrated for falling pressure, so the adjustable switching pressure on the scale corresponds to the switching point as pressure falls; reset point is higher by the switching differential. Robust seawater-resistant die-cast aluminium (GD AlSi 12) housing. Standard VCM types have a fixed (non-adjustable) switching differential; VCMV variants offer an adjustable switching differential. Unlike the explosion-proof Ex-VCM/Ex-VNM series, this standard range isn’t ATEX/IECEx rated.
