The York YLAA is an air-cooled scroll chiller with a nominal capacity range of 40-230 TR (140-800 kW) – substantially smaller than York’s screw chillers (YVFA, YVAA, YCIV), using scroll compressors instead of screw compressors for lower cost and footprint at smaller loads. It ships with two independent refrigerant circuits for partial redundancy, a brazed plate heat exchanger and microchannel condenser, and native BAS communication (BACnet, Modbus, N2). Application flexibility supports heat recovery and low-temperature brine duty, and optional variable-speed drive fans push part-load efficiency higher.
