Description

The York YVAM is an air-cooled magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller purpose-built for hyperscale and colocation data center applications, delivering 250-475 TR (880-1670 kW) of cooling capacity. Its oil-free, single-stage magnetic bearing compressor eliminates friction losses and delivers peak efficiency at inverted operating conditions – matching the performance of chillers with integral water-side economizers without needing free cooling coils. Integral UPS and Quick Start technology restart the unit to full load in as little as three minutes after a power interruption, and the variable speed drive with active front end meets IEEE-519 harmonics requirements with zero inrush current.
