Description
The NewAge Wafer Type Butterfly Valve sits between two pipe flanges, held in place by the flange bolts on either side – a compact, economical design suited to piping systems already built around flanged connections. ISI marked, with a wafer end suitable for ANSI B16.5 Class 150# flanges. Rated for 16 Kg/cm2 maximum working pressure, 24 Kg/cm2 body test pressure, and 17.5 Kg/cm2 seat test pressure. Available with lever, gear, or motorized/actuated operation, and can be fitted with limit and tamper switches. Unlike the Grooved Type Butterfly Valve, which connects via grooved couplings without needing flanges, the wafer design requires the system to be shut down and drained for installation or removal.
