The York YK is a water-cooled centrifugal chiller with a capacity range of 250 to 3,000 TR (880-10,550 kW), re-engineered for use with the ultra-low GWP refrigerant R-1234ze as its primary refrigerant (also available with R-513A or R-515B, without a size penalty). Unlike the magnetic-bearing YZ, the YK uses a conventional oil-lubricated driveline with a variable-speed drive and falling-film evaporator. The Quick Start feature restarts the chiller in as few as 45 seconds, and optional OptiSound Control minimizes gas-flow noise alongside standard VSD technology. The state-of-the-art OptiView Control Panel precisely manages leaving chilled liquid temperature and motor current.
