The Kartar CI Y-Type Strainer has an angled Y-shaped body pattern, offering a compact footprint and lower pressure drop than a T-type strainer – well suited for continuous-flow pipeline runs with moderate debris loads. Cast Iron construction with a removable screen for periodic cleaning without disconnecting the pipeline. Unlike the T-Type Strainer, which uses a straight-through body with a perpendicular branch, the Y-Type’s angled design suits tighter installation spaces.
