Description

The Kartar Check Valve, Single Plate uses a single hinged plate (swing check design) with a wafer end connection – fitting compactly between two pipe flanges, held in place by the flange bolts – that swings open with forward flow and closes under reverse flow or spring action. Cast Iron body, PN16, available in sizes 40NB to 600NB. Unlike the Dual Plate variant, which uses two smaller spring-loaded plates on a central hinge for a lighter-weight body, the Single Plate design uses one larger door. Unlike the Flanged Type (K-104), which bolts directly via full flanges and uses a lift-check mechanism rated for steam, this wafer-style valve is not steam rated.
