Description

The Kartar Check Valve, Dual Plate uses two spring-loaded plates hinged on a central pin, with a wafer end connection fitting compactly between pipe flanges – lighter in weight and more compact than the Single Plate swing check design. Available in wafer type sizes 50NB-300NB, or flanged type 350NB-600NB for the largest sizes. Unlike the Flanged Type (K-104), which uses a lift-check mechanism rated for steam service, the Dual Plate design closes by spring action as flow decreases and isn’t steam rated. Proper flow-direction alignment during installation is important to avoid slam from reverse flow.
